Analysis of the sales of various car companies in Europe in June

According to Bloomberg News, with the UK's Brexit referendum in June this year, the business and consumer confidence index was frustrated, and the growth of European car sales slowed in June. The industry association, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), said in a recent statement that the number of vehicle registrations in the EU and the European Free Trade Association market increased by 6.5% year-on-year compared with 1.51 million units in the same period last year. June was the 34th month of continuous growth in European market sales, although its growth rate has continued to slow since March.


In the first half of this year, the sales volume of automobiles increased by 9.1%, and the total sales volume was 8.09 million.


Last month, stimulated by the growth of EU market demand, sales of Renault and Fiat-Chrysler were boosted, and other Asian car brands and European luxury car manufacturers also achieved sales growth.


Among the top 10 automakers in the region, Renault increased in June, driven by sales of its major brands Captur, Kadjar and Espace, with overall sales up 20% year-on-year.


Fiat Chrysler's vehicle registrations increased by 13% year-on-year, mainly driven by sales of its Fiat brand (up 14% year-on-year), and the brand recently launched a new Tipo compact car. The sales of the Jeep model increased by 16% year-on-year, and contributed to the sales promotion of Fiat Chrysler.


Among the Japanese automakers, sales of Toyota and Lexus totaled 6.7% year-on-year, while Nissan's sales fell 2.9%. Sales of Hyundai and Kia increased by 13% and 14% respectively.
